Yesterday morning, Cong Huiquan,who was the medical evaluation expert of the French Social Welfare Ministry of Health Medical Services, General Manager and senior researcher of international cooperation project, came to Meizhou to deliver a lecture on medical reform. A total of more than 200 people, including vice mayor Zhang Chen, and agency heads of the city, counties (districts) health departments, and the heads of major hospitals directly civil-operated, three hospitals of each county, health-care institutions at township level,etc, attended the lecture.
This lecture was one of the serial activities of 100 anniversary of the Guangdong Provincial Medical Association,with the theme of “Inherit one hundred years of medical science, create brilliant South Guangdong”. With the title of “20 years of reform on medical hospital in France and the hospital modernization resulted in”,the seminar introduced three characteristics of the fifth generation of hospitals (patient-centered, resource sharing, organizational changes in large departments and hospital combinations), illustrated the fifth generation of hospital design concept through the specific case,and analyzed the status quo of the French health system and a series of reform measures.
Cong Huiquan once worked in the Chinese Ministry of health, went to study in France in the late 80s, received a master degree in health economics and a doctorate in public health. Since 1993, he has been worked in the French Ministry of social welfare and health. "My mother is from DiaoFang town, Xingning city, so I am also half a Meizhou person, although it’s the first time to return home, I feel very good.” Cong Huiquan said. As for the health care reform, he suggested that we should continue to increase investment to support the development of private hospitals, promote ambulatory surgical mode, build a regional medical group, continue to play the guiding role of medical insurance policy,and provide diversified services for the masses. He said: "In the future,the elderly population will gradually increase, the medical pension will be an important economic growth point.
