Macao Meizhou Chamber of Commerce held an unveiling ceremony

Yesterday afternoon, Macao Meizhou chamber of Commerce held an unveiling ceremony, making that a new platform for communication and cooperation between Meizhou and Macao merchants was set up. Party secretary Tan Juntie attended the ceremony and informed the current state of hometown, invited folks and people from all walks of life to attend the fifth session of the World Hakka Merchants Conference, which will be held from November 13th to 15th in Meizhou.

Chen Yongda, director of Foreign trade management department of Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region - Economic Services, Liu Yufei, counselor of the director of Consular Affairs Department of the Office Of The Commissioner Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Of The People'S Republic Of China In The Macao Special Administrative Region; Ma Youli, President of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, Gao Kaixian, President of the board of directors of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, Liu Yiliang, President of Association of Returned Overseas Chinese Macau; Zhang Wenguang, Meizhou Municipal Standing Committee and Minister of United Front Work Department, Zhang Chen, Meizhou vice mayor; Huang Quanchang, first President of Macao Meizhou chamber of Commerce, the founding president Li Guohui, Chen Yunxiang, the permanent honorary president Zhang Jinshan, Huang Qinli and Fan Wei, Hakka community representatives of Malaysia, Burma, Canada and Sichuan attended the ceremony.

It is understood that to better serve Meizhou, Macau and the business communities around the world, the Macao Meizhou Chamber of Commerce was set up to fulfill the duty of "Meizhou - Macao Economic and Trade Liaison Office of Macau JiaYing Association, awarded by Meizhou Government, with the mission of promoting the the One country, Two system policy, actively promoting the implementation of the principle of peaceful reunification, contributing to achieve the complete reunification of the motherland, and promoting trade, tourism and culture, exchanges and cooperation between Meizhou, Macao and the rest of the world.

Tan Juntie, on behalf of the municipal Party committee and government, warmly congratulated the establishment of the Meizhou Macao Chamber of Commerce, and highly appreciated the great contributions made by the Hakka Associations and Hakka folks on the prosperity and stability of Macao. He said that while firmly protecting the good ecological environment and excavating and using the heavy humanism, Meizhou has become increasingly prominent in its transportation advantages, the industrial park is ready for development and the environment in urban and rural areas is changing rapidly, the well-being of people's livelihood and welfare continues to improve, the economic and social development trend is good and full of business opportunities. Everyone was welcomed to often go to Meizhou for leisure and vacation, sightseeing, seeking cooperation and pushing the economic, trade and cultural exchanges between Meizhou and Macao to a new level.

Huang Quanchang expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Meizhou municipal government, people from all walks of life in Macao and all the Hakka organizations concerned who supported the establishment of the Macao Meizhou chamber of Commerce. He said, Macao Meizhou Chamber of Commerce will give full play to their advantages to seize the historical opportunity of promoting the "the Belt and Road Initiative" and constructing Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promote the exchanges and cooperation through exhibitions, presentations, forums and other ways between Macao, Meizhou, and cities around the world, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development.

Also, while in Macao, Tan Juntie discussed with Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs & Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Fu Tiesheng, minister of coordination of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R, Zhao Wei, President of the University of Macao, vice president Ni Mingxuan, and Zhou Xingting, chairman of Guangdong Namyue Group,etc., compared notes and reached broad consensus on promoting cultural exchanges economic and trade exchanges, industry Co-Construction between Meizhou and Macao. Meizhou leaders Zhang Wenguang, Chen Zhining, Zhang Chen, and the departments directors concerned participated in the activities.
