Meizhou selenium products debut at the Selenium Products Expo

The fourth world selenium products (Enshi) Expo was held in the Enshi Tujia, central China's Hubei province, 11 kinds of products from Meizhou's six enterprises were selected carefully for exhibition. Meizhou struck a pose on the stage of Selenium Products Expo for the first time.

The exhibits on the Selenium products Expo were composed mainly of natural selenium tea and rice, including Pingyuan Yuanfeng agricultural development ltd.'s ShiZheng organic green tea,Black Tea,and Oolong Tea, Meizhou SongGangZhang Green ecological tea garden ltd.'s Hakka fried green tea and Black Tea, Guangdong Flying Horse Industrial Co. Ltd's Jiaying Black Tea, Oolong tea, Meizhou DaoFeng Industrial Co. Ltd.'s Hakka SiMiao rice, Jiaoling ZhangZhangmei bamboo rice Cooperative's rice, Xingning Guofeng silkworm cooperatives's Sanbao Tea and Mulberry Leaf Tea. Meizhou's natural selenium tea and rice was favored by the Chinese and foreign guests, gained consistent affirmation and praise from the purchasers, and achieved intent of investigation and purchasing.

According to preliminary investigation, Meizhou has 8280 square kilometers of soil area rich in selenium, accounting for 52.3% of the total land area of the city, with the selenium content of 0.7mg/kg soil, 75% higher than the national selenium standards. Since last year, Meizhou had began to implement the brand strategy of "World Hakka Capital-Selenium Valley", the Selenium Industry has made a good start and progress, cultivated a group of rich selenium industrial development entities, established bases of rich selenium tea and rice, and started to prescribe the standards of rich selenium agricultural products, improved the testing equipment, and strove to prescribe the selenium standards of main agricultural products, such as grapefruit tea and rice before the end of 2018, research the regulation of identification and special trademark of the agricultural products rich in selenium, in order to standardize the production and business behavior of agricultural products rich in selenium.
