Lin Fengmian's Painting Exhibition Was Held in France

On the morning of Dec.12th local time, the opening ceremony of the series of activities of "Century FengMian·Return to Strasbourg" was held in Strasbourg, France. Ling Jun, Chinese Consulate General in Strasbourg, Gao Siming, Vice President of China Academy of Art, Anne Mistler, Director-General of Culture Bureau of the Eastern Region of France, Alain Fontainel, vice mayor of Strasbourg, and Michel Deneken, President of the University of Strasbourg, witnessed the great cultural exchange event between France and China.

In 1924, 24-year-old Lin Fengmian planned the first "Chinese Art Exhibition" in history at Strasbourg, France, which received a great success, and therefore was appreciated by Cai Yuanpei, who invited him to create China's first national art academy. At the beginning of this year, Lin Fengmian Art Garden, owned by Guangdong Weihua Group, cooperated with the Chinese Academy of Art, founded by Lin Fengmian, decided to bring Mr. Lin Fengmian's "Century Fengmian", "Landscape Declaration", New Media Works of Chinese Contemporary Art, and theater "Century" to  Strasbourg, responding to the art manifesto a century ago and pay tribute to the master.

Ling Jun addressed the opening ceremony and wished the series of Activities a complete success.He said that this cooperation is just like a strong bridge and will further strengthen sino - french friendship and mutual understanding. Alain Fontaine, vice mayor of Strasbourg, said the links established by Lin Fengmian in 1924 will become the opportunity for the cooperation and exchange of art and various fields between the two countries today; and we expect more cultural exchanges and cooperation in the future!
